For tenants

Homes we'd be happy to live in ourselves

We are proud to care for a premium selection of personally managed, well-maintained homes in Prestbury, Wilmslow, Alderley, Mottram, Tytherington, Bollington, Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

We are house proud

High standards, and pride in every home

We know each and every one of our homes intimately, and look after all of them as if they were our own. We have high standards and take pride in their presentation.

We care passionately about our reputation, and only use contractors we can rely on. Tested on ourselves first, our hand-picked team of dependable, professional local contractors means we can deal with anything from a dripping tap to the widest range of repairs, renewals and refurbishments – quickly and efficiently.

“We only accept homes that we would be happy to live in ourselves – after all, if we wouldn’t live there, how can we expect you to? And we genuinely only work with landlords who share our values and our high personal standards.”

Applying for a home

Tenancy application & holding deposit

What happens once you’ve found a home you love.

1

Apply & reserve

Once you have decided a property is right for you, you’ll be asked for a holding deposit to reserve it. This is no more than one week’s rent and is refundable at the start of the tenancy (provided the information you have given us is correct).

2

Referencing with HomeLet

We use the UK’s largest referencing provider, HomeLet, and you will need to meet their referencing requirements for us to proceed with your application.

3

Paperwork

On satisfactory completion of your HomeLet referencing we will draft the tenancy paperwork and share it with you for your review and approval.

4

Move in

Moving can be stressful and paperwork can sometimes be confusing and long-winded – but we are here to help, so please feel free to ask any questions along the way.

Please make sure the information in your application is accurate. We are unable to return a holding deposit if you have provided false or misleading information which reasonably affects the landlord’s decision to let the property to you (i.e. calls into question your suitability as a tenant – this can include your behaviour in providing the false or misleading information). We are also unable to proceed and refund your holding deposit if you fail a Right to Rent check, withdraw from the proposed agreement, or fail to take all reasonable steps to enter into the agreement (i.e. responding to reasonable requests for information needed to progress it).

Unfortunately we cannot accept referencing or credit checks from other organisations, as we provide a rent recovery service for our landlords which precludes alternative referencing.
